About

Mackenzie Pikaart is a clay artist whose work delves into the intricate relationships between her past selves, present memories, form, erosion, texture, and color. Her creations manifest as functional objects for the home, each infused with these personal connections. Through playful shapes and vibrant hues, she crafts a mirage that captivates the viewer's immediate attention. Yet, upon deeper reflection, a poignant voice of loneliness emerges.

Mackenzie draws inspiration from architecture, poetry, instrumental music, and the gentle rhythm of rainy days. Within these influences, she finds beauty in the tension between togetherness and solitude. Her artistic journey is a search through memory—unearthing moments of peace, self-love, and acceptance. Alongside these cherished memories, she confronts uneasy times and moments she wishes to forget, ultimately revealing a tapestry of joy, love, and profound self-understanding.

Her pieces are designed for daily use, serving as reminders of the rich agate of life’s experiences.

Mackenzie earned her BFA in Crafts/Ceramics from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she currently lives and works. In addition to her artistic practice, she is a ceramics educator, consultant, and wholesaler. You can explore her work on Faire Wholesale.
